LA SALLE STANDOUT ANDREI CARACUT SUBMITS APPLICATION FOR PBA DRAFT

Former La Salle guard Andrei Caracut has declared his intention to join the increasing number of PBA aspirants hoping to be drafted alongside Jun Bonsubre and Tzady Range, with Charlie Dy as their agent.

Caracut together with big men, Bonsubre and Range have submitted their application for the 2021 PBA Draft last Thursday at the PBA Office in Libis.

They were accompanied by their agent Charlie Dy.

Caracut, a 5-foot-11 calculating guard, had experienced championship back in the 2016-2017 UAAP season which was spearheaded by Ben Mbala and became team captain in his final year in Season 82 where he tallied 9.6 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.0 rebounds.

He later played for the San Miguel Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League and posted 2.5 points in seven minutes of play before the season was interrupted due to the pandemic. 

The 6-foot-7 Rangel was a former player for National University and became a reserve for Alab last season where he played alongside Caracut. 

The 6-foot-5 Bonsubre is a standout from San Beda Red Lions and later played in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) for the Mandaluyong El Tigre then transferred to the Zamboanga Family’s Brand Sardines.

The three contenders have included in the list of PBA aspirants together with Alvin Pasaol, Leonard Santillan, Troy Rike, Don Reverente, Ben Adamos, RR de Leon, Med Salim, and Reymark Acu.

As of now, there are about 40 players that have been enlisted hoping to take part in the event for the March 14 PBA Draft.

Aspiring players still have time to submit their applications until January 27.
