Kaya FC-Iloilo has secured the commitment of Azkals Development Team player Jarvey Gayoso ahead of the upcoming AFC Champions League (ACL), the football club announced on Sunday.

“Let’s all welcome the club’s newest addition! Jarvey Gayoso,” Kaya FC wrote on its Facebook post sharing the development.

Gayoso played for Ateneo de Manila University and led the Blue Eagles to two collegiate championships.

Apart from his championship titles, he is also a two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player and four-time UAAP Best Striker.

The 24-year old was a key cog for the Azkals Development Team third-place finish in the last season of the Philippines Football League scoring four goals in five matches.

Gayoso was recently called up to join the Azkals senior national team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The former Ateneo football star is expected to boost Kaya FC’s bid in the upcoming ACL playoffs on June 23 and AFC Cup which is slated to kick off on June 30.
