Kalei Mau and the Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team pool are returning to the country after competing in the Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand.

PNVF shared that the 6-foot-1 spiker is set to play in Turkey, but no official announcement has been made yet from Mau.

Still, PNVF said that the Fil-American spiker would be available for the country once it has been called up to the plate.

“Our Fil-Am Kalei Mau, she played in Puerto Rico and I heard she is also going to play again somewhere in Europe, in Turkey,” said PNVF president Tats Suzara.

“She is now keen on getting the schedule of the national team.”

As the PH team has a jam-packed calendar for 2022, Suzara expected that Mau would be back before then.

“I have to give this calendar to them,”

“After May 15, balik na dapat sila sa Pilipinas for the national team” said Suzara.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Mau shared that she is just ready and looking forward to competing in the Philippines, especially that the federation is set to hold the last domestic tournament for 2021 in November; the PNVF Champions League.

A recent Instagram post by Mau expressed her desire to compete till the year’s conclusion.

“Yes, I’m headed back to Manila, haven’t been there for two years so I’m really excited to be back.”

“I’m just ready to keep competing until the end of the year,” Mau shared.
