JUSTIN BAAS CALLED TO MAN PHILIPPINE AZKALS QATAR CAMP

Philippine Azkal calls for Justine Baas as their new addition to the training camp in Qatar for the joint 2022 Fifa World Cup and 2023 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

Baas has been officially announced as part of the national team yesterday as per the tweet of the official Twitter page of the Azkal team.

“Justin Baas of United City Football Club has also been called up to the team currently in Doha, Qatar preparing for the joint qualifying tournament for the FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup,” the @TheAzkalsPH stated.

The United City cager was set to be the 26th player to be called up to banner the Philippine flag against Guam, China, and the Maldives in the next competition.

The 6-foot-1 Baas is no stranger to the sport as he used to be part of Ratchaburi Mitr Phol in Thailand and also played for the Philippine Under-22 team in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.

On the other hand, the team is yet to complete the 25-man pool with 13 players are already in Doha in skipper Stephan Schrock, Matt Baldisimo, Mark Hartmann, Niko De Vera, Mar Diano, Angel Guirado, Alvaro Silva, Mark Winhoffer, Luke Woodland, Bernd Schipmann, Jarvey Gayoso, Patrick Reichelt, and Michael Kempter.

Currently, the country holds third place in Group A.
