FILIPINOS, OTHER ASIAN IMPORTS TO TAKE PART IN B.LEAGUE ALL STAR FESTIVITIES

Japan B.League Chairman Shinji Shimada shared that several Filipino players and Asian imports will be featured and will see action in the league’s All-Star festivities in January.

In an announcement made on Monday, the league’s chairman shared the developments about the All-Star Games set in Okinawa from Jan. 14 and 15.

“So many players are coming from the Philippines this year and they will play some of the B.League’s young and promising players in this All-Star Game,” he said.

Shimida revealed that there will be two games in the All-Star festivities that will happen both on weekend.

The first game will be the “B.League Asia-Rising Star Game” set on January 14 in Okinawa Arena where this match will be played by the Asian Quota players against the outstanding young rookies of the league.

Currently, there are 14 Asian Quota players in the B.League, bannered by San-en NeoPhoenix’s Thirdy Ravena.

Among the fan favorites to play in the All-Star Games are Kiefer Ravena of the Shiga Lakestars, Bobby Ray Parks of the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, Kobe Paras of the Niigata Albirex BB, and Dwight Ramos of the Toyama Grouses

Other Korean imports who made impressive campaigns are Korean shooter Yang Jae-min of the Shinshu Brave Warriors, Chinese center Wang Weijia of the Akita Northern Happinets, and Indonesian winger Brandon Jawato of Utsunomiya Brex.

B2 players, however, are still unknown if they can participate.

Filipino ballers Juan Gomez de Liaño of Tokyo Z and Kemark Carino of Aomiri, Chinese-Taipei’s Lin Chihwei of Fukuoka, and China’s Liu Jin of Nishinomiya are in division two of the league.

Meanwhile, the B.League All-Star Game will be played on Jan. 15.

The B.Black team will be played by ballers from Chiba Jets, Kawasaki Brave Thunders, Osaka Evessa, SunRockers Shibuya, Alvark Tokyo, Shimane Susanoo Magic, Shiga Lakestars, Yokohama B-Corsairs, Niigata Albirex BB, Hiroshima Dragonflies, and Gunma Crane Thunders.

B.White, on the other hand, will compose players from Utsunomiya Brex, Ryukyu Golden Kings, SeaHorses Mikawa, Toyama Grouses, Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, Akita Northern Happinets, Shinshu Brave Warriors, Kyoto Hannaryz, Levanga Hokkaido, San-En NeoPhoenix, and Ibaraki Robots.
