DUBSTEP HAILS AS NUMBER 1 ASIAN VALORANT PLAYER; JESSIEVASH, WITZ, BORKUM, DISPENSER AMONG TOP 20 ASIAN PLAYERS IN 2021

Four Valorant Filipino players were included in The VALO2ASIA Awards in 2021 listing the top 21 Asian players with Jayvee “DubsteP” Paguirigan being awarded as the number 1.

The VALO2ASIA Awards worked through a well-evaluation process by the “20-member strong board of judges, consisting of current and former professionals in the industry.”

“As we approach the first year of VALO2ASIA’s operation, we would want to honor those who have achieved outstanding results throughout the year, those who have lifted the standard of Asian VALORANT to be on par with other regions,” Juandi, Editorial at VALO2ASIA said.

As spotlight was given to the Filipino players as much as to Team Secret for having its five-man Valorant roster be included in the list with DusteP being at the top of the pyramid.

“Never in my life have I ever thought I would be the best player in Asia. I always aimed to be in the best team. I am truly surprised and grateful at the same time. Thank you,” DubsteP tweeted.

While the other four were the retired Filipino Dota 2 player  Jessie “JessieVash” Cristy Cuyco was ranked 11th, followed by the famous “otso-otso” valo player Riley “Witz” Go’s 13th place, Jim “BORKUM” Timbreza’s 16th place, and Kevin “Dispenser” Te’s 17th place.
