CREAMLINE DOMINATES BALIPURE; SETS RECORD-SMASHING WIN IN PVL HISTORY

Creamline Cool Smashers let hell loose on Balipure, putting the squad on the wrong end of history, 25-12, 25-3, 25-15 to bag its fifth straight victory in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference on Wednesday at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center.

Creamline did not provide any chance over the BaliPure Water Defenders in the second frame unleashing 17 attacks from their side and extended its winning streak to 25 games dating back to August 11, 2019.

Creamline made quick work against Balipure in the first frame, 25-12, before pulling off a 25-3 record-smashing win over the Water Defenders, putting the squad to a 2-2 slate.

According to league statistician Christopher Anore, Creamline’s three-point shutdown of Balipure beat the four-point output of the University of Batangas in the second set of their match against Arellano in the 12th season of the Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference.

It also replaced the worst output in a set at the club level, when it held the defunct Chef’s Classics, 25-5, last Aug. 18, 2019.

Hindi namin inexpect yung ganung laro kasi galing sa two-game winning streak yung BaliPure tapos talagang malakas din sila dumepensa. Nagprepare lang yung team para makuha yung game ngayon,” Creamline assistant coach Sherwin Meneses said.

“We all know BaliPure made so much impact in this campaign naghanda talaga kami and grabe yung reminders kaya nailabas din namin sa game,” Valdez expressed.

Alyssa Valdez led in scoring with 16 points coming from 10 attacks, four aces, two blocks and nine digs, while Gumabao contributed with 14 points.

Jema Galanza delivered 10 markers while setter Jia Morado finished with 25 excellent sets.

Graze Bombita top-scored BaliPure with 7 points while Bern Flora only chipped in four markers.

Creamline will head against Chery Tiggo on Friday at 7 pm while Balipure will next face Choco Mucho at 3 pm.
