BULLPUPS TERRENCE FORTEA STILL UNDECIDED FOR COLLEGE CAREER

With just months left for the next collegiate tournament likely to happen, Terrence Fortea of Nazareth School of National University remains unresolved for his collegiate career.

Fortea led the NU Bullpups Juniors to remain unscathed in the canceled UAAP Season 82 boys basketball tournament.

NU Bullpups showed no rust in the league together with his seniors Gerry Abadiano, Carl Tamayo, and Kevin Quiambao in which the same players had decided for their respective college destination.

With the cancellation of UAAP Season 83 tournaments, Fortea had nothing but to reminisce about their past games and victories.

‘Yung championship na back-to-back championship, sobrang kahit ‘pag nire-reminisce ko ‘yung nangyari sobrang saya eh. ‘Yung mga ensayo na pagudan na halos six hours kayo nagtre-training kasi minsan twice pa kayo. Mga ganong bagay kaya nakaka-miss din,” shared Fortea, during an episode of The Prospects Pod presented by SMART Sports.

Fortea stayed at the top of his performance after he averaged 15.4 points, 2.6 assists, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in Season 82.

With his grind to the top, some of his teammates were snitching on him to also join them in one’s school.

As such, it is apparent that Fortea has to either lead the rebuilding National University or join Abadiano and Tamayo in University of the Philippines, or with Quiambao in De La Salle University.

Minsan nagde-DM sila sa akin, ‘kumusta na.’ ganyan, saan ba ako ganyan. Nakakatuwa lang na naaalala pa rin nila and gusto pa rin nila ako maging teammate,” Fortea propounded.

And even Forthsky Padrigao who sealed the deal to play with the Blue Eagles asks Fortea to fuse to Ateneo.

Pwede naman dito,” expressed Padrigao, a teammate of his in Batang Gilas.

“Lugi sa puwestuhan kay Forth, King Eagle yan eh,” answered Fortea.

In the end, Fortea shared that his top priority is the quality of education and relied that the decision of his would reliant on his family’s perspective.

Siyempre gusto namin makapagtapos din ng pag-aaral and makapag-pro. ‘Yung ano ba, ‘yung nakikita nila sa akin na plan sa team. Kasi ako, gagawin ko talaga lahat eh. ‘Yun naman ‘yung mapra-promise ko kung saan man ako pupunta eh. Gagawin ko talaga lahat ng makakaya ko paano mag-grow as a player and as a person,” he concluded.
