AMA COACH MARK HERRERA HAS SOLID FAITH ON ANDRE PARAS, BELIEVES PARAS IS PBA-READY

Coach Herrera, the former mentor of Andre Paras, firmly believes that the older son of the two-time PBA MVP Benjie Paras will undoubtedly make his own name in the forthcoming PBA Rookie Draft.

Current AMA Online Education coach Mark Herrera is one to tell being the coach to experience firsthand the real Andre Paras on hard court since his performance for AMA Online Education in the D-League way back in 2017.

“Ready na ready na si Andre para sa PBA,” said Herrera as per the PBA’s official website.

Previously, Paras had certain appearances in the University of the Philippines (UP) and San Beda but it was only in the AMA that the hard-nosed center had a chance to continue playing basketball while focusing on his acting career.

Herrera revered that grit was Andre’s game, not his star power, and Paras has consistently shown that grit in every game he played in, even leading his team that included now PBA players Kib Montalbo, who is now with TNT, and Aaron Black, who is with Meralco.

Napakasipag ni Andre sa AMA. Almost all-around ang nilalaro niya para sa amin,” Herrera commented.

Confident may it seems, Herrera expects more from his former star that the 6-foot-4 center will definitely make a strong impact in the PBA.

“Solid na player si Andre at maswerte ang makakakuha sa kanya,” he ended.
