In a Twitter post, Valdez’s management group, V. Management Group announced the unfortunate news.

“After experiencing some mild symptoms and a confirmatory RT-PCR test, Alyssa tested positive for COVID-19.

“We’d like to thank those who have sent their well-wishes and prayers her way,” the agency’s statement read. “Please be rest assured that Alyssa is taking the necessary precautions and will be recovering from home.”

The former Ateneo standout retweeted the post of her management and was thankful for all the wishes.

“Thank you for all the well-wishes,” Valdez wrote on Twitter.

The 28-year-old Batangas stalwart entered the PBB house last October 16 and left just last Sunday, January 2, where she was named as one of the top two celebrity housemates and won P100,000.

After her time in PBB, the six-time V-League Most Valuable Player also participated in Creamline’s online training sessions.
