Maliksi gained the nod of Meralco management to allow him to return to Manila on Tuesday just in time for him to witness his wife Kaye Maliksi gave birth to a bouncing baby boy on Thursday.

“Thank you Lord God for keeping my son and my wife safe and protected all throughout. So blessed to have our baby number 2 in our life. My heart is overflowing of happiness and gratitude,” penned Maliksi on an Instagram post.

The 33-year old wingman had already been training with the Bolts for the past 10 days at the Laoag Centennial Arena.

With Maliksi leaving the training camp, he will no longer be able to return to Ilocos as the team will be wrapping up its team practices and return to Manila by the end of the month.

He also noted the quarantine period he will need to observe if he is to go back in the Ilocos bubble.

Sayang nga, ang sarap magpa-kundisyon doon,” Maliksi said.

Despite being regretful of how the team practices are going smoothly, Maliksi said that it’s “family first”.
