ALEX EALA PLACES NO. 2 SEED IN US OPEN JUNIORS
Alex Eala has been placed in the No. 2 seed at the 2021 US Open Juniors tennis championship, set to happen on September 6 to 11 in New York.
Eala who currently tallies 2786.25 is one step behind Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva of Andorra, who is the top-seeded player in the US Open and who placed as 406 in the World Ranking of Women’s Tennis Association (WTA).
Lately, the Filipina tennis sensation rowed down from No. 505 to 513 in the Singles Ranking category of WTA.
Eala’s stint at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is set to be her first singles and third overall Slam in the US Open after two consecutive crowns with different partners.
With her partner Indonesian pal Priska Madelyn Nugroho, they ruled the 2020 Australian Open and then dominated the 2021 French Open with Russia’s Oksana Selekhmeteva.
But in any case, Eala will be in the hunt to bring her rankings up as she will be playing in the world junior’s circuit after her 2021 French Open girls double stint with Russia’s Oksana Selekhmeteva.
