ALEAH FINNEGAN BAGS GOLD, SILVER MEDALS IN GYMNASTICS ANEW OF PH DEBUT

Aleah Finnegan Cruz made an impressive debut with Team Philippines in gymnastics after getting the women’s all-around team gold medal and silver in women’s individual all-around in the 31st Southeast Asian Games.

Along with Aleah are Chiara Andrews, Ancilla Lucia Manzano, Lucia Gutierrez, Kursten Lopez and Ma. Cristina Loberanes who pooled 184.500 points to take the team gold.

Following the onslaught performance are Vietnam with 183.800 points and Singapore with 182.550.

Moreover, the newcomer Finnegan in the SEA Games garnered 49.250 to bag the silver, behind Rifda Irfanaluthfi of Indonesia with 49.650 and ahead of Malaysia’s Rachel Yeoh Li Wen with 48.550.

Aleah, who used to be part of Louisiana State University competed for the United States in the 2019 Pan-American Games added another victory to the Philippines following Carlos Yulo’s gold feat.

With two golds and one silver already secured, Yulo is expected to bag more victories as he is set to compete in the apparatus on Sunday and Monday.
