The 6-foot-11 and current big man of the University of Toledo Rockets reportedly injured his knee again during the team’s game against Oakland last November 27.

It was not immediately announced if it was the same knee he hurt last year. Moreover, the degree of the latest injury was not also mentioned.

He was playing about 16 minutes before he was subbed out.

The 20-year-old had missed two games of the squad namely a 73-76 loss to Xavier and a 70-61 win over Cleveland State.

Meanwhile, Gilas program director Tab Baldwin expressed prayers for the Fil-Cypriot.

“We are praying for the recovery of AJ,” said Gilas program director Tab Baldwin.

On a positive note, Edu assured that the injury is not a serious one and promised to bounce back stronger.

“I’m doing okay. I’m going to be back stronger,” vowed Edu.

Edu had previously recovered from an ACL he incurred during the 2019 FIBA U19 World Cup in Greece but made a successful comeback for his sophomore year with the Rockets.

This season, he averaged 1.0 point and 7.0 rebounds within two games as the Rockets’ starting center.
