TESDA ANTIQUE OPENS TWSP PROGRAM
THE TECHNICAL Education and Skills Development Authority in Antique has allotted 325 slots for its Training for Work Scholarship Program.
Glenn Murphy, Director of TESDA-Antique, said that they are accepting applications from interested students.
“At the TESDA provincial office in Hamtic, the training being offered are Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, and Barangay Health Services. The scholarship has an allocation from TESDA Central Office of P3 million. The training varies from 28 days to 34 days depending on the course selected,” Murphy said.
The director said SMAW with National Certificate I and SMAW NC II were each allotted 25 slots. The EIM and BHS also have 25 slots each.
Murphy said that there are also 225 slots available for those interested to take the Contact Center Services NC II in San Jose de Buenavista.
“The training, which will be for 144 hours, is funded by the Office of Senator Grace Poe with P2.4 million. The Contact Center Services NC II will be conducted in 10 batches and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis,” he said.
“Interested students, who are 18 years old and above and had finished their high school, may visit the TESDA Antique Provincial Office so they could avail of the TWSP scholarship,” he added.
Murphy said that scholars could also avail of the internet allowance and personal protective equipment in the amount of P500 each and training support fund of P160 per day.
