SORSOGON GOV HOPES LIMITED F2F CLASSES WILL RESUME

/ 31 August 2021

SORSOGON Governor Francis ‘Chiz’ Escudero is hoping that the government will allow the resumption of face-to-face classes in the province as it is considered a low-risk area.

“Sana naman ay makasama kami sa mga papayagang makapag-limited face-to-face classes,” Escudero said.

The governor added that 55 percent of Sorsogon’s 64 villages have been Covid-free since the start of the pandemic last year.

Escudero said that he worries that children’s lack of socialization because of distance learning would affect their social skills in the future.

“I’m worried about children. For example, I worry about their social skills, even with my children. Buong araw nasa iPad, nasa kwarto nagkaklase. How can they have the social skills to handle the daily problems of life?” he said.

Escudero fully supports the implementation of the limited face-to-face classes.

“I am thankful that the Department of Education and IATF are recommending pilot face-to-face classes. I hope PRRD will favorably consider their suggestion,” he added, referring to President Rodrigo Duterte.
