SDO OFFICIAL TO TEACHERS: WE NEED YOU THE MOST THIS TIME

/ 24 January 2022

DR. NELIA Lomocso, superintendent of Surigao del Norte Schools Division, implored teachers to report to work despite the challenges brought by Typhoon Odette in the province.

“I know we are all victims of the recent calamity, but our schools need you most this time,” Lomocso said.

Teachers, he added, should continue to inspire people, especially their students.

“Despite the bad circumstances we have all experienced, I hope that serving our department remains our top priority. Please don’t show to the public that you are tired and unmotivated to work. Instead, let us be the source of hope and inspiration to the people around us most especially to our learners and colleagues,” she added.

Lomocso issued the statement fearing that teaching and non-teaching workers might deviate from the alternate work arrangement as work from home scheme faces problems in locations without electricity.

She encouraged the teachers and the school administrators to tap the support of the local government units if they face problems that hinder them from doing their duties.
