A TOTAL of 204 students in the fifth district of Camarines Sur have received the Student Monetary Assistance for Recovery and Transition Grant.

Each one of them received P25,000 to be used for Academic Year 2023-2024.

The SMART grant program aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students.

According to Commission on Higher Education Regional Office 5, identification of the grant recipients was made possible through the collaborative effort of its team and 5th District of Camarines Sur representative, Congressman Miguel “Migz” Villafuerte, who remained actively involved throughout the grant distribution process alongside other local officials.

CHED Chairperson Prospero de Vera III urged the students to utilize the funds responsibly, emphasizing the importance of directing the funds toward their educational needs.
