ILOILO GOV’T TURNS OVER P100.93-M SPECIAL EDUCATION FUND TO 34 SCHOOLS
THE PROVINCIAL government of Iloilo has turned over P100.93 million special education fund to 34 schools in the province.
One school each in the towns of Alimodian, Badiangan, Bingawan, Concepcion, Leon, Maasin, Mina, Passi City, Pavia, San Dionisio, San Joaquin, Sara, Barotac Nuevo, and Sta. Barbara received the SEF funding.
Two schools each in Barotac Viejo, Batad, Oton, and Janiuay also received the funding, as well as three schools in Calinog, four in Carlos and five in Tigbaua .
The provision of assistance is a banner program of the provincial government under the “Bulig Eskwela Sang Probinsya Program.”
Last September 27, Defensor signed Executive Order 420 for the implementation of the program for an effective, relevant, and transformative educational system in Iloilo province.
“It (fund) will be used for construction of school buildings, rehabilitation, and repair of facilities, and purchase of laptops and printers, among others,” the Balita Halin sa Kapitoloyo said.
