FORMER MANILA TIMES COLLEGE-SUBIC CAMPUS NOW A TREATMENT FACILITY
THE FORMER campus of the Manila Times College-Subic will be used as a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility as the government continues to increase the country’s bed capacity to address the Covid19 surge.
The facility that was opened on Wednesday has 330 beds.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said that the setting up of the facility was a “good example” of the collaboration of the private and public sectors.
“Patunay ito na kapag tayo ay nagkakaisa mas marami tayong magagawa,” he said.
He added that the government plans to have a “mega treatment monitoring facility” for North Luzon and the National Capital Region Plus bubble.
Earlier, some schools partnered with the Philippine Red Cross to convert their classrooms into quarantine facilities for patients who were either asymptomatic or had mild symptoms.
