MANILA LGU VOWS TO UPGRADE SCHOOL FACILITIES, EXPAND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

/ 23 October 2026

MANILA Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has reaffirmed the city government’s commitment to modernizing local educational infrastructure, pledging the swift completion of key school development projects across the capital.

Top among these priorities is the long-awaited 10-story, fully air-conditioned building at Ramon Magsaysay High School—a modern facility designed to provide learners with a more comfortable and conducive environment.

Mayor Isko unveiled his administration’s plans during a courtesy visit by the newly elected officers of the Manila Federation of School-Parent Teachers Association (SPTA), led by its president, Jonny C. Paiba.

During the meeting, the mayor emphasized that upgrading campus facilities and opening more academic pathways are vital steps toward bridging educational gaps and ensuring equal opportunities for every young Manileño.

He also called for stronger collaboration among parents, educators, and City Hall officials to maintain order on campus and foster safe, supportive learning spaces.

The city government reiterated that continuous investment in public school infrastructure remains central to its broader agenda of promoting student welfare and elevating the quality of basic education in Manila.
