THE DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development distributed livelihood and educational assistance to teen mothers in Antipolo City.
The 28 beneficiaries were under the department’s project ProtecTEEN, which promotes and protects the welfare of young mothers and their families.
DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo said that the agency will strengthen its efforts to improve the well-being of all Filipino teen mothers and their children.
Each beneficiary received P10,000 as well as vitamins and medicines for their families.
They also participated in family sessions conducted by the department and were provided with employment assistance through the Public Employment Service Office of the city government of Antipolo.
