THE DEPARTMENT of Information and Communications Technology office in Isabela launched a Technology Empowerment for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development center in the municipality of Santo Tomas.

DICT-Isabela Chairman Cirilo Gazzingan Jr. said that the center will be a self-sustaining, shared facility that will provide access to ICT-enabled services and relevant information to the people of Santo Tomas.

The DICT and the local government unit of Santo Tomas signed a memorandum of agreement for the establishment of the Tech4ED center.

The center will act as a conduit for the efficient delivery of services.

Communities will have access to government services, non-formal education, skills training, telemedicine, job markets, and business portals through the center.

Under the MOA, the LGU will provide the location for the center while the DICT will supply internet connectivity and computers.
