/ 8 December 2021

THE CREOTEC  Philippines Inc. turned over P2.9 million worth of applications to the Department of Education office in Laoag City to support the continuous implementation of distance learning.

Under Creotec’s Maximizing Technology in Learning with CreoApps, 150 mobile applications in Math, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan subjects were distributed to 39 public schools in Laoag City.

“These will serve as supplementary learning materials in the form of gamified mobile app that can be accessed by students and teachers offline and with complete 4-quarter lessons, activities, and formative assessments to support the learning in the three subject areas,” DepEd said.

“The app covers Most Essential Learning Competencies aligned topics from Kindergarten to Grade 10,” it added.

To maximize the use of the applications, an orientation with teacher coordinators will be conducted in January 2022.

The collaboration, which will run for two years, was made possible through a memorandum of agreement signed by Creotec President Ferdinand Ferrer and DepEd Laoag SDS Vilma Eda.

“DepEd looks forward to a possible expansion of the partnership as Creotec currently develops learning resources using Augmented Reality technology. Work Immersion opportunities for the Senior High School learners was also discussed,” Eda said.
