CHED CAR LAUNCHES PROJECT ‘MARITES’
THE COMMISSION on Higher Education partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry and state colleges and universities in the Cordillera Administrative Region to launch the project ‘MARiTES’.
MARiTES or ‘Mobilizing Available Resources through Inclusive Training on Entrepreneurship of Student-Grantees’ aims to provide entrepreneurship training to its beneficiaries.
It will tackle areas of entrepreneurial mind-setting, marketing, financial management and production management.
The partner schools are the Mountain Province State University, Ifugao State University, Apayao State University, Benguet State University, Kalinga State University and Abra Institute of Sciences and Technology.
A memorandum of agreement was signed by the participants on Tuesday.
“Hangad ng CHED-CAR na matulungan ang mga scholars ng bayan na magkaroon ng dekalidad na mataas na edukasyon,” CHED CAR said.
The commission’s Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education will oversee the program, while the DTI will provide the curriculum and teachers.
