CEBU CITY STARTS ASSESSING SCHOOLS FOR F2F CLASSES

/ 24 February 2022

THE CITY government of Cebu had started assessing schools in mountain villages for the conduct of limited face-to-face classes.

The assessment is part of the city’s preparations for the resumption of in-person classes, Councilor Joel Garganera, chief of the city’s Emergency Operations Center, said.

Garganera said that schools in remote villages with low Covid19 transmission were the first to be inspected.

He said that public schools in urban areas will also be assessed soon.

Cebu City is currently under Alert Level 2.

The Department of Education has allowed schools in areas under Alert Level 2 to hold limited face-to-face classes but only vaccinated teachers and school personnel are allowed to participate.
