THE BULACAN State University and the Department of the Interior and Local Government entered into an agreement for a project aiming to help local government units in Region 3.

Dubbed ‘Local Economic Development for Local Government Units’, the project aims to help LGUs with economic growth, employment generation, and uplifting the quality of life of residents.

“This will empower the locales of Region III by advancing citizen participation which can lead to a better match with the local needs and improved service quality and access to resources,” BulSU said in a statement.

“This undertaking is a result of BulSU’s effort and commitment in building a strong partnership and linkages and extend support to the communities toward regional development,” it added.

Both institutions met on Wednesday for the signing of the memorandum of agreement which was led by BulSU President Dr. Cecilia Navasero-Gascon and DILG Central Luzon Regional Director Karl Caesar Rimando.

The two institutions were also in talks for more collaborations in the field of food innovation.
