THE BAGUIO City government has recognized the Saint Louis University for its exemplary performance in the 2022 Bar Examinations.

City officials passed resolutions commending the university for its accomplishment, the city’s public information office said on Tuesday.

SLU was the second top performing school in the 2022 Bar exams, where first-time takers had a passing rate of 95 percent.

The university had an average passing rate of 78.46 percent with 51-100 candidates.

“In a resolution, local legislators stated that the feat of the Catholic-run higher education institution serves as tangible evidence of the quality and excellence that higher education institutions in the city and the Cordillera possess, show and continue to uphold the city’s identity as the education capital of the north,” the PIO said.

Of the 9,183 Bar examinees, 3,992, or 43.47 percent passed.

The oath-taking of the new lawyers will be on May 2, 2023 at the Philippine International Convention Center.
