BAGUIO City Mayor Benjamin Magalong pledged to continue supporting the Department of Education even as he called on its officials to follow health protocols.

Officials of the DepEd Schools Division led by Superintendent Federico Martin paid a courtesy call on the mayor recently.

Magalong pledged to extend support to the Education department and the Schools Division.

He urged DepEd Baguio City officials to step up the implementation of health protocols, such as maintaining physical distancing, disinfecting schools on a regular basis, and providing adequate ventilation.

The mayor said the city is doing its best to expedite the vaccination of teachers and teaching staff and that it has requested more vaccines especially for those belonging to the A4 category.
