812 SCHOOLS IN ILOILO CITY CONDUCT F2F CLASSES
MORE than 800 of the 1,172 public and private schools in Iloilo City have started conducting face-to-face classes, the Department of Education said.
Schools Divisions Office Superintendent Ma. Luz de los Reyes said that physical classes started last June 13.
“We have 812 schools that have already opened their limited face-to-face classes on Monday,” she said.
She added that 133 secondary schools, 589 elementary schools, 55 integrated and 35 private schools have opened.
De Los Reyes is hopeful that all schools in Iloilo will soon open. Currently, only 70 percent of schools have conducted in-person classes.
“Those who have not opened yet, they still have time. Hopefully, they can open because supposedly, our target is 100 percent,” she said.
