160 TESDA SCHOLARS IN ISABELA RECEIVE STARTER TOOLTKITS

/ 26 July 2021

MORE than 100 scholars under the Special Training for Employment Program of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority received their starter toolkits in Isabela this month.

TESDA Regional Director Archie Grande along with Isabela District II Representative Ed Christopher Go, San Mariano Vice Mayor Dean Anthony Domalanta and TESDA Isabela Director Igmedio Casticon, led the distribution of the toolkits to 160 scholars.

The beneficiaries are from the towns of San Mariano, Benito Soliven, and Gamu. They finished their trainings in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, Tailoring NC II and Electrical Maintenance NC II.

The trainings were conducted by the TESDA-Isabela Provincial Training Center and the Isabela School of Arts and Trades.

Grande said that the provision of toolkits seeks to promote employment particularly through entrepreneurial, self-employment and service oriented activities.

“The agency shall sustain its efforts to address the specific needs of the Isabelinos through appropriate skills training interventions,” Grande said.
