10 SCHOOLS IN NORTHERN LUZON INCLUDED IN F2F PILOT RUN

/ 29 October 2021

TEN schools in Northern Luzon will participate in the rollout of limited in-person classes starting November 15.

Regional director Tolentino Aquino said 14 schools were originally included, but upon further validation, four schools were disqualified.

“Nung nagkaroon tayo ng validation, ‘yung apat na schools ay mayroong coronavirus disease 2019 cases kaya awtomatikong inalis sa listahan,” Aquino said.

In Ilocos Norte, the schools are Alao-ao Elementary School, Pagdagan Elementary School in Bangui town, Bicbica Elementary School, Buanga Elementary School and Godogod Elementary School in Pinili town, Dumalneg Elementary School and Dumalneg National High School in Dumalneg town, and San Isidro Elementary School and Cacafean in Marcos town.

In Pangasinan, only Longos Elementary School in Alaminos City will be included in the pilot run.

The schools were chosen based on the standards set by the DepEd Central Office, National Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases and Department of Health.

“Sa pagsasagawa natin ng limited face-to-face classes, tayo ay closely monitored at ginagabayan ng DOH para matiyak na on the health side, safe ang ating mga mag-aaral at mga kawani ng DepEd” Aquino said.

He added that only Kindergarten up to Grade 3 students will be allowed to participate.

“Base sa pag-aaral, ito ang mga mag-aaral na nangangailangan ng close supervision ng mga guro,” he said.

DepEd Ilocos medical officer Romarie Castillo said vaccinated teachers will be given priority for teaching jobs during the in-person classes.
