VICE President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio called on the youth to help develop communities and build a strong country.

In her speech during the Student Leaders’ Assembly of the Sultan Kudarat State University in Tacurong City, Duterte-Carpio encouraged the students to be the government’s partners in strengthening education.

“I have never lost faith in the power of the Filipino youth,” she said.

“As the Secretary of the Department of Education, I hold on to this promise as we work hard to institutionalize a peace and boldly introduce reforms in our basic education curriculum,” the Vice President added.

University President Samson Molao thanked Duterte-Carpio for gracing the event.

He also expressed his gratitude to the provincial government of Sultan Kudarat, particularly to Governor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu, for the support extended to the SKSU.
