TDC WILLING TO WORK WITH NEW DEPED SECRETARY
THE TEACHERS’ Dignity Coalition will work with whoever will head the Department of Education under the new administration.
Presumptive President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. on Tuesday said that he offered the post to presumptive vice president Sara Duterte-Carpio and the latter agreed to be the next DepEd secretary.
“If ever na si presumptive VP ang ia-appoint as always sa TDC kaya naman po naming makipag-usap. We are willing to sit and discuss our advocacies, our plans and we are also willing to hear the plans and programs of the incoming secretary of the Department of Education,” TDC Chairman Benjo Basas said.
However, Basas said they would have preferred a secretary who came from DepEd or has background on public school teaching.
