SOLON URGES INSTITUTIONALIZED INTERVENTIONS FOR MENTAL HEALTH IN EDUCATION SECTOR

/ 11 April 2025

LAS PIÑAS Rep. Camille Villar has called on the government to institutionalize targeted intervention measures in the education sector to promote students’ mental health and well-being, and prevent mental health issues that often lead to school bullying.

To address the rise in school bullying incidents, Villar urged schools to hire more guidance counselors who can conduct regular counseling and assess students’ mental well-being.

She also underscored the importance of improving access to mental health services in schools.
