SENATOR REASSURES ALL-OUT SUPPORT FOR PH EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
PUTTING emphasis on the youth’s vital role in nation-building, Senator Christopher ‘Bong’ Go reassured he will continue to push for initiatives to enhance the country’s educational programs to further empower the youth, who the solon considers as the country’s future leaders.
Pangalawa, yan po ang puhunan natin – edukasyon,” said Go.
The senator added he has been pushing for several legislative measures to secure and protect the welfare of Filipino children.
Go reintroduced Senate Bill No. 1190 which, if passed, would provide for the expansion of the application of the additional one percent Education Fund tax to the other needs of the public education system, such as the construction and repair of libraries, and payment of salaries, allowances and other benefits of teaching and non-teaching personnel, among others.
“My proposed measure thus seeks to institutionalize the expansion of the application of SEF to other education-related items, such as the payment of salaries, allowances and other benefits of teaching and non-teaching personnel,” he previously explained.
