SENATOR CITES SIGNIFICANCE OF ROTC TRAINING
SENATOR Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada stressed the significance of a measure that aims to revive the mandatory Reserved Officers Training Corps.
At the recent induction of newly elected officers of Kawal Atenista Association Inc., Estrada said that Senate Bill 468 or the proposed Revitalized Reserve Officers’ Training Corps Act will train the youth and allow them to be better prepared for disasters.
“The discipline and proper attitude that the training imbibes in the students are also part of the life skills that will be helpful to them in all aspects of their lives,” Estrada said in his speech during the event.
He said that ROTC training will better prepare the youth in responding to calamities and disasters.
HB 468 has been endorsed for plenary deliberations.
