INCOMING Education Secretary Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio wants full implementation of face-to-face classes by August.

“We are targeting that,” she said when asked if she is looking forward to a full in-person classes in the next school year.

Duterte-Carpio said that she and departing Education Secretary Leonor Briones exchanged multiple written correspondence for a smooth transition of power.

She said that she will meet DepEd officials on June 25.

Briones earlier said that DepEd wants all schools to open for physical classes in the next school year.

She also encouraged more private schools to hold face-to-face classes.
