PASIG GOV’T GIVES CASH INCENTIVES TO TOP GRADUATES
THE LOCAL government of Pasig City has started distributing cash incentives to public school students who graduated with honors, Mayor Vico Sotto said.
In a social media post, Sotto said that college and technical-vocational graduates of the Pasig City Scholarship Program who graduated with honors in the recently concluded academic year may register at the Pasig City Scholarship Program Office to get their cash incentives.
To register, honor students must submit the original copy of certification of honors and a graduation photo to the Pasig City Scholarship Program Office.
Graduates may also submit the requirements online at [email protected] but they need to submit the hard copy of the certification for validation of the Pasig City Scholarship Office.
Those who graduated summa cum laude in college will receive P30,000, magna cum laudes will receive P25,000 while cum laudes will receive P20,000. The windfall will be given via digital mobile wallet PayMaya.
Tech-voc graduates who were valedictorians will receive P10,000 and P5,000 will be given for salutatorians.
Sotto reminded them that the submission of requirements is until September 21,2020.
Last year, Pasig City also provided cash incentives to 110 scholars of the city for graduating with honors.
Sotto said that the cash incentives do not come from him.
“Hindi po ito pondo ng pulitiko, pondo po ito ng taumbayan. Give back to our local government, to our community,” he said.
