MANILA APPROVES P2.5-B FUND FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION IN 2022
THE CITY government of Manila has approved a P2.5 billion special education budget for 2022.
Mayor Francis ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso announced the approval of the budget, part of which will be used to repair 12 schools.
“We just approved something that is in line with our aspiration and vision for our children this 2022,” Damagoso said.
The budget will cover the reconstruction of the Ramon Magsaysay High School in Sampaloc district. The school will be 10-story high and will have 232 classrooms.
“I always wanted the best for our people. It doesn’t have to be bigger but better in terms of facilities,” Domagoso said.
There will also be an allocation for load allowances of students and teachers, as well as free annual medical check-up for 11, 000 teachers from the Division of City Schools in Manila.
“Thank you at nakaraos tayo at patuloy nating nairaraos at naitatawid ang mga estudyante natin sa Lungsod ng Maynila,” the mayor said.
