HOUSE APPROVES BILL CREATING PRMSU-COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
THE HOUSE of Representatives has approved a measure that seeks to establish a College of Medicine at the President Ramon Magsaysay State University.
With 228-0 votes, the lawmakers approved on third and final reading House Bill 10502, or the proposed President Ramon Magsaysay State University-College of Medicine in the school’s campus in Iba, Zambales.
The bill was filed by Zambales 2nd District Rep. Cheryl Doloso-Montalla.
The bill aims to build a corps of professional physicians to respond to the needs of the province and Region III.
The college shall offer a Doctor of Medicine program, including the Integrated Liberal Arts and Medicine programs.
Scholarships shall also be provided to assist the poor but deserving students who qualify for admission.
