DEPED WELCOMES MOVE TO GIVE P20K SRI FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS
THE DEPARTMENT of Education welcomed President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to provide a P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) for public school teachers and non-teaching personnel.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara expressed gratitude to the President for increasing the SRI from P18,000 to P20,000, benefitting around 1,011,800 DepEd personnel.
“We thank President Marcos Jr. for his unparalleled dedication to uplifting the welfare of our teachers and personnel. His genuine concern for education and his heart for our teachers have once again prioritized the needs of those shaping the future of our nation,” Angara said.
Sec. Angara also affirmed his commitment to work closely with Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman to ensure the swift and successful implementation of the increased SRI while adhering to fiscal policies.
“Malaking tulong ito sa ating mga guro at kawani para sa kanilang paghahanda para sa kapaskuhan at sa pagsalubong ng bagong taon. Napakagandang regalo nito ng ating administrasyon na kinikilala ang sakripisyo at serbisyo ng ating mga kaguruan,” Angara noted.
