TINGOG Party-list Rep. Jude Acidre has urged Catholic educators to go beyond producing academically competent graduates and instead mold students into compassionate leaders committed to serving others.

Speaking before Catholic educators at a convention, Acidre said Catholic education should form individuals who use their knowledge, talents, and influence to uplift others and create opportunities for those who might otherwise be left behind.

“Catholic education cannot simply produce competent graduates. We must form servants of love,” Acidre said.

He urged school leaders to carry the convention’s call for “newness” beyond the event and translate it into their everyday decisions and actions in their schools and communities.

Acidre expressed hope that Catholic schools would continue to be “witnesses to His truth, disciples of His goodness, and servants of His love.”

He described Catholic education as a constellation of hope for the country’s youth, families, the Church, and the nation.
