DEPED PREPARES ‘BETTER VERSION’ OF DISTANCE LEARNING
THE DEPARTMENT of Education is preparing a “better version” of distance learning, Education Undersecretary Diosdado San Antonio said.
“Even as we hope that limited face-to face classes will be perhaps allowed, even if that’s not allowed, we’re preparing to implement a better version of the blended distance learning modalities that we have implemented last year,” San Antonio said.
He added that the department will make sure that the errors in modules will be among the concerns to be improved.
“During the first three months last year, there were like 131 validated errors. But for the first 5 months of this year, we gathered 24 errors. There’s really an improvement of the things that we do,” San Antonio said.
President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday rejected the DepEd’s proposal to hold limited face-to-face classes for School Year 2021-2022.
Duterte said holding physical classes is too risky because of the emerging cases of the more contagious Delta Covid19 variant.
