THE DEPARTMENT of Education joined the United Nations Day celebration on Monday through a short program at the DepEd Central Office.

Some Executive Committee members and staff attended the celebration which aims to reaffirm and revisit the goals and principles of the UN Charter.

Also during the event, the Bonuan Buquig National High School from Schools Division Office Dagupan was recognized for winning the Top Prize as the World’s Best School for Environmental Education by T4 Education.

DepEd Undersecretary Epimaco Densing praised the school for its achievement.

“Kami po ay natutuwa, nasisiyahan, at nagbibigay pugay sa ating mga teacher, estudyante, magulang, at komunidad na nakapalibot sa Bonuan Buquig National High School. Kayo po ay aming sinasaluduhan,” he said.

“Ang inyong pagtatagumpay sa World’s Best School Prizes, on the category of World Environmental Action, ay isang bagay na nagpapatunay na tayong mga Pilipino ay gumagawa ng kaparaanan para maibalik natin ang kasaganahan ng ating komunidad,” he added.
