THE DEPARTMENT of Education has partnered with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines to enhance educational resources nationwide.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara and NGCP Vice Chairman and CEO Anthony Almeda led the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement at DepEd’s Central Office on Monday.

DepEd stated that the partnership will focus on improving educational resources, providing teacher training, fostering community engagement through joint projects, supporting environmental education, and enhancing disaster preparedness initiatives to strengthen school safety.

In addition, DepEd, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, and the Department of Public Works and Highways signed a Joint Memorandum Circular on Wednesday aimed at providing modern educational facilities across the country.

Under the agreement, DepEd, PAGCOR, and DPWH will work together to construct classrooms, socio-civic centers, community wellness centers, and e-libraries. This includes facilities like PWD-friendly toilets, school chairs, tables, and other essential fixtures.
