DEPED HOLDS STRAND MANAGEMENT REVIEW
TO FURTHER improve its Quality Management System, the Department of Education reviewed the management of the agency and its workforce capacity.
The Strand Management Review on Organization and Workforce Capacity is the preliminary activity in the reengineering of the department. It also aims to ensure the alignment of mandates, processes and systems with the Basic Education Development Plan 2030.
The management review was attended by senior officials of the department as well as bureau and service directors and heads of offices.
Undersecretary for Human Resource and Organizational Development Gloria Jumamil-Mercado said that Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio ordered the review to redevelop management at the Central Office to further help management at the level of school.
“The purpose of the reengineering was not only to harmonize and improve the services at the Central Office but also to align the functions per governance level that will eventually upgrade the quality of basic education services of DepEd, especially at the school level,” Jumamil-Mercado said.
During the review, the status of actions from previous management committee meetings, customer satisfaction and feedback, and the programs, activities and projects were discussed.
