DBM CHIEF REMINDS STUDENTS TO USE THEIR KNOWLEDGE TO UPLIFT MARGINALIZED SECTORS
DEPARTMENT of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman urged students to use their education to uplift marginalized sectors.
This was Pangandaman’s message during the commencement exercises at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
“Use your gifts to uplift those who are marginalized, advocate for those who are voiceless, and create a more just, equitable, and compassionate society for all,” she said.
“Armed with the education, skills, and talents you have gained from this institution, I challenge you to always be a force for good, make a difference in the lives of others, and leave a lasting impact for generations to come,” she added.
The Budget Secretary also encouraged the graduates to continue loving their country.
Pangandaman was also awarded an honorary Doctorate in Public Administration by the university in recognition of her service to the people.
