FORMER presidential adviser and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion urged teachers and school personnel to get Covid19 booster shots before classes begin next week.

“We really want to encourage the teachers and staff in school systems to get their booster shots,” he said during the launch of “Isa Pa” Covid19 booster shot campaign.

Concepcion said that taking booster shots will help prevent the congestion in healthcare facilities.

“We want to make sure that there is no chance at all for hospital capacity to be affected, make sure that hospitals continue to be at low utilization rates to make sure that there will be no lockdowns. Kasi syempre mas maraming kabataang lalabas ngayon kasi babalik na ang eskwela. Syempre tataas ang risk,” Concepcion said.

Earlier, the Department of Health also encouraged teaching and non-teaching personnel to get their Covid19 jabs before classes begin next week.

Education Undersecretary Revsee Escobedo said that some 37,000 have not received their vaccines.
