THE COORDINATING Council of Private Education Associations of the Philippines said that some private schools are considering implementing full face-to-face classes while others will continue to adopt hybrid learning.

COCOPEA Managing Director Joseph Noel Estrada said that they are convincing more private schools to hold face-to-face classes.

“We have continuing consultations with schools and their respective parents, so it will happen once the school year begins,” he said.

He added that a “small percentage of schools” will continue to hold full online learning.

Some parents need to be persuaded to allow their children to attend in-person classes, he said.

“They have reservations because the unvaccinated and the vaccinated students may join each other. Some parents may lack the confidence [to send children to school],” Estrada said.
